Ca Maria Adele

Ca Maria Adele, Venice, is an indulgent mix of two worlds. Lying within the walls of a 16th-century Venetian palazzo and hidden amongst the waterways of the city, it’s a private bolthole of contrasts demonstrating old grandeur on the exterior with a modern, sleek and luxurious interior. It is lavish, quirky, intimate, romantic and utterly lovely.

Tucked away behind the landmark church of Santa Maria della Salute in the pleasantly quiet, gallery-filled Dorsoduro sestiere, the historic 16th century palazzo Ca Maria Adele is one of Venice’s crowning jewels.
Very intimate and very stylish: there’s a welcoming hush to this little place, where guests are made to feel immediately at home. This is a grown-up getaway to make the honeymooners hallelujah; where 12 rooms are dressed-up-to-the-nines in swathes of velvety soft fabrics that hang floor-to-ceiling. Fur lines the walls as dazzling oversized Murano glass chandeliers hang from the ceiling to shine upon exotic teak wood furnishings.

Ca Maria Adele is 21st-century palazzo perfection and a hedonistic feast for all the senses where you’ll find a Moroccan-styled terrace with couples whispering sweet-nothings at twilight and a beautifully laid-out honesty bar for a nightcap under the stars.

With its Murano chandeliers, flock wallpaper and heavy damask fabrics, the Ca Maria Adele is absolutely Venetian, but its African wood, polished concrete and laid-back, bohemian atmosphere mean it is also undeniably modern.
Ca Maria Adele takes Venetian style to gothic extreme in five statement concept rooms. An additional five deluxe rooms and two top-floor suites are equally plush, with an air of warm, welcoming urbanity in this very grown-up hotel overlooking the Salute.

The five concept rooms, two suites (one with a balcony) and five deluxe rooms are all delightfully decorated with subtle tones, beautiful dark-wood furniture and marble bathrooms. The Sala Noire with its black Murano glass chandelier is deliciously decadent.

Facing the canal, Ca Maria Adele has its own water entrance, leading into the reception. It’s a short hop to the vaporetto stop and on to San Marco. For an arrival that befits the Adele, take a vintage speedboat direct from Marco Polo airport to the hotel lobby where a cool glass of Prosecco awaits, along with the relaxed breakfast policy: whenever, wherever and however!

All bookings made at Ca Maria Adele through L’e Marquis qualify for BEARMILES and BEARPLUS advantages. L’e Marquis guests will enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine.

Lagoon Island

One of the most sophisticated places to stay in Venice: a private island with a swimming pool, full staff, a private boat and driver.

A private island of unsurpassed beauty, Lagoon Island is a natural haven that embodies the tranquility and sophistication of the Venetian lagoon.

The property is home to families of wild peacocks and a vast range of wildlife, its lovingly tended grounds cradling organic gardens and orchards, eco-friendly fish farms, and an ancient chapel. And it has just been opened for a limited number of private bookings per year.

Situated in the heart of a lagoon that has inspired some of the most celebrated authors and artists, Lagoon Island is more than just an island retreat; it is a place to gather with friends or family in an exclusive environment, to experience the luxury of space in a well-appointed villa overlooking sweeping natural vistas, and to tap into an inner creativity through a close connection with an unspoiled natural setting.

The island was originally settled in the fifth century as part of a group of garden islands known as Ammiana. Churches, monasteries, and convents were built and thrived on the islands before falling into abandonment by the fifteenth century. Today, it is the only island of the original Ammiana archipelago to survive. It is in the process of becoming fully self-sustainable with its own fresh water source, organic fish, and produce farming; an oasis nestled between the Adriatic Sea to the east, the Dolomites mountain range to the northwest, and the cosmopolitan city of Venice to the south.

The island of Venice can be reached in about twenty minutes by private boat – a luxurious ride past Torcello, Burano, and Murano, across open lagoon waters and wild marshland, straight into the arms of one of Europe’s most cultured and international cities. Exclusive and connected, the island offers the luxury of unadulterated space and urban refinement combined. Its fully bespoke offerings range from complete privacy and autonomy to all-inclusive five-star superior service.

The Villa offers luxurious accommodation and stylish décor that complement the naturally lush environment of the island. This grand estate features an open floor plan with a spacious, light-filled living room, Venetian-style chef’s kitchen, an expansive dining room that accommodates up to sixteen guests, two master bedrooms, five double, and two single bedrooms with private baths.

Outside, a spacious terrace is perfect for entertaining, with a large fireplace to set the mood or cook in the open air. A second patio provides a quiet, secluded nook with natural teak dining set, while a typical Venetian rooftop altana offers dramatic views of the lagoon. The villa’s large swimming pool comes complete with stunning teak deck area, gazebo, and lounge chairs.

Blond wood, lots of whites, Eastern rugs, and decorative elements, inspiring artworks, and natural muted colours and fabrics make the island a perfect place to hang out.

Whether for an inconspicuous weekend among family and friends, an exquisite wedding celebration, or a well-heeled occasion, the property is an elegant backdrop for unforgettable moments.

L’e Marquis can arrange your stay according to your requirements. Guests can enjoy the gardens, orchards, and fresh fish supply, or shop on a neighbouring island to prepare their own meals. Alternatively, the villa can be fully staffed to meet the needs of the most exacting guest. Arrangements can be made for a concierge, butler, personal chef, exquisite local catering, on call massage therapist and yoga services, or full private boat service. At all times the island is equipped with a private boat and driver.

Yoga retreats fit into the organic philosophy of the island, which emphasises an inner balance of the body, mind, and spirit. Prominence is given to Satyananda and Sivanada yoga philosophies but Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga training can also be arranged. The island has two certified instructors on-site, and guest instructors can book the island for private retreats. Vegetarian or bespoke meals available on request.

Discover some of the one hundred and eighteen Venetian islands and five hundred and fifty square kilometres of wild lagoon beyond the City of Venice. Nearest to the island is the famed Burano island with its colourful buildings and hand-made lace, Mazzorbo with the Venissa vineyards and lauded restaurant, and Torcello with its first-century Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta, which boasts stunning Byzantine mosaics.

Special private visits can be arranged by L’e Marquis.

Aman Venice

Filled with museum-quality treasures, Aman Venice’s home on the Grand Canal is the 16th-century Palazzo Papadopoli, one of the city’s most significant buildings. The great 18th-century painter Tiepolo once lived here, and his frescoes adorn the walls of many of the rooms. In the 19th century, the presiding Papadopoli family turned adjoining buildings into two gardens that, today, are among the city’s rarest private green spaces. When Aman Venice was renovated in 2014, its sensitive incorporation of contemporary comforts won the palazzo a heritage award for Italy’s best restoration.

Dining
Dining at Aman Venice can be as simple or sumptuous as occasion demands. As well as a convivial bar, there are two restaurants on the piano nobile, where guests dine under frescoed ceilings and menus are overseen by Italy’s acclaimed, Michelin-starred chef, Davide Oldani. With its exclusive private gardens, Aman Venice boasts the city’s best alfresco venues too – the Grand Canal views complemented by sophisticated dishes created from daily forays into the Rialto market. All the venues are open to non-residents.

Accommodation
Each of Aman Venice’s 24 rooms and suites is individually decorated and includes a kingsize bed and sitting area. The historically important interiors have been sensitively furnished by Jean-Michel Gathy.

Celebrations & Private Events

With the feel of a private home, Aman Venice is ideal for special occasions, from grand parties to intimate meetings. The palazzo setting allows for an unparalleled variety of venues, large and small, indoors and out. A full hotel reservation allows guests unlimited access to the facilities on the piano nobile and the private gardens by the Grand Canal.

Aman Spa

The Gritti Palace

The majestic Gritti Palace is where history and culture are met with renewed Venetian style. A place of exceptional art and elegance, the restored Gritti Palace retains its reassuringly intimate and familiar feel. The Gritti is known for impassioned service, a delectable culinary experience and an intimate wellness haven. The reference point for the world’s elite at international city events such as the Biennale, Carnival and the Venice Film Festival.

After a meticulous restoration, explore the hotel’s original wooden ceilings, entrance flooring, dressing-table mirrors and 18th century wall lamps, handmade in Murano, and more. The epitome of luxury.

One of the features of the hotel are the many beautiful suites. In the Presidential Suite that bears his name, Ernest Hemingway, who considered The Gritti Palace his home in Venice during the late 1940s and early 1950s, composed many passages of his novel “Across the River and Into the Trees.”

Floor-to-ceiling French doors open onto stand-up balconies that afford rare views of the Grand Canal. Evoking the sense of place of a Venetian Palace on the Grand Canal during the 18th Century, the suite’s imposing design features stucco walls and ceiling cornices with Venetian Rococò motifs, and Ernest Hemingways own club chair.

And do not miss the Riva Lounge, an elegant summer terrace in a unique location. Tailored around the materials used in the design of the Riva Yacht, the look and feel of this seasonal 36 seat, 55 square metre Riva Lounge on the iconic Gritti Terrace reflects the Riva Aquarama Lounge at the Monaco Yacht Club.

“Experience Riva elegance shore-side: a place where connoisseurs gather for the quintessential Riva experience. Elegantly Riva. Essentially Gritti.”

All bookings for suites and rooms booked through L’ Marquis qualify for BEARMILES, and all L’e Marquis clients at the hotel will be given a special complimentary Gritti Bellini in the Riva lounge.
