Naomi is exhibiting in St Tropez in 2023

Naomi Wallens, a British contemporary multidisciplinary artist working with painting, sculpture and photography. Self-taught as a street artist, Wallens is becoming well known in the art world for her provocative artwork exploring the subtleties of societal pressures of conformity and the profound impact this has on our ability to feel connected to our own self.

Drawing on her own experiences as a woman and mother and the experiences of those that she collaborates with, Wallens’ works are unorthodox products of visual story-telling that fight and challenge societal injustices and champion empowerment and love.  Wallens pushes her emotional boundaries to become the subject in many of her painted works and directly makes use of the female form using her own body in many of her sculptures to illustrate the stories she sets to tell.

Sometimes operating under her alter ago street name; ‘SHYGUY’, Wallens’ work is eclectic, rock and roll and rebellious and her famous sculptures depicting the female form display her signature stories of a search for freedom and pushing the boundaries that can be seen in many of her works.  Her collectors resonate with these stories that she sets to tell.

Since quitting her career in the corporate world five years ago, Wallens has built a vast body of design meets art wonders featuring several installations, street art pieces around East London, her own body part sculptures, large scale paintings and an array of alluring Objet D’Art. Her debut collection formed her first solo show ‘Behind Closed Doors’ in 2018, and since has been on display in Paris, The Saatchi Gallery, London, The Riverside Studios, London in addition to many art fairs and galleries across England. Naomi will be exhibiting in St Tropez during the summer of 2023 where she will be presenting an exciting collection of provocative and stylish sculptures including bronzes, champagne ice buckets, alluring neons and original and unique large scale canvases.

Wallens’ work has now become a firm favourite with international high net worth private art collectors and interior designers alike.
