The Deep South
The restaurant, one of Cagliari’s finest, is in the central Viale Regina Margherita. It has three spacious rooms, a terrace and bistro. For lovers of Japanese cuisine, there is a fully equipped rectangular sushi bench, presided over by an oriental knife master. Diners can choose to eat at the bench, oyster bar style. The restaurant design is minimalist, animated with photographs and paintings telling stories of the great tuna tradition of the chef’s family. Luigi Pomata’s grandfather passed on his passion for cooking to his son Nicolo, then to his grandson, who is carrying on the family tradition.
Luigi Pomata is famous for his excellent tuna cuisine, traditional Sardinian dishes elaborated with the chef’s creativity and more exotic tastes from his experience working alongside culinary maestros abroad.
Chef Luigi Pomata was awarded first prize in the prestigious Art of Menu competition, second in the Gualtiero Marchesi Award and first in the San Vito Cous Cous Fest.
Pomata is open from Monday to Saturday, for lunch from 13.00-15.00 and for supper from 20.00 – 23.00.
L’e Marquis clients dining at the Luigi Pomata restaurant will be offered a complimentary aperitif.

Courses are run in the restaurant in Viale Regina Margherita, in Cagliari.
